Slave Daemon - Suggestions
Got something on your mind you think would benefit SlaveDaemon or its sister program SlaveClient?

Re: Slave Daemon - Suggestions
I'll just list them out.
I think it would be nice if there was like an area that you can expand that would show which slave earns you the most money and how much it has earned you total.
Update the ip grabber, it will sometimes grab things that look like 5.5.5.5 b
Which doesn't make sense the b shouldn't be there.
I figure a number(period)number(period)number(period)number should be the only things recorded.
And it would be helpful if when it found ip's if they were in your slave list already they wouldn't show up.
A cross check of some sort.

Re: Slave Daemon - Suggestions
I appreciate the idea for tracking which slave earns the most. I'll work on working that in.
As for the ip suggestions, if you already have an ip as a slave it shouldn't add it to parsed ips, but you must go to the slaves page and let SD gather your slaves list. It will tell you when its done, the only unfortunate thing is it can take a while depending on the number of slaves you have.
And the ip grabber parses ips based on a very simple pattern in the log files, this can easily be messed up. If you are seeing [5.5.5.5 b] in the logfile then the b will be included. I have been working on using regular expressions, but it slowed the parser down last time I tried.

Re: Slave Daemon - Suggestions
Have you tried after it finds numbers to just exclude including letters?
Also could there be a way where you could upload your own bunch of ip's from a txt file, or have every ip it finds be saved into a giant text file and duplicates are deleted.
I know its alot of work but i really really really appreciate this program, its made slave hack so much funner.

Re: Slave Daemon - Suggestions
After gathering ips in the ip list the "load ips" button will change to "save ips" and you can save them as a textfile that you can load again next time you use SD. As for doubles, it should check the entire ip list before adding another ip, unless it is an npc ip which is displayed in the npc/gs ip list. You have to load the npc list included with SD, npcs.srv, its all the npc ips up to 5.0 software.
Re: Slave Daemon - Suggestions
So I should just load my ip list every time i play? And then save it when I'm done?
That makes enough sense. Also I wasn't aware that I had to click the edit log button myself, I think that a tickbox to edit that would be wonderful as well.

Re: Slave Daemon - Suggestions
You shouldn't have to edit the logfile yourself. On the left hand side of SD are the logfile edit options. If none are checked then of course it wouldn't be editing the log file. I just checked it with offline slavehack pages I have, though they may be out of date by now, and the logfile functions just fine
Re: Slave Daemon - Suggestions
I meant you have to hit the button, edit log, yourself.
Sorry for my roundabout way of trying to say that.
Because I was wondering why my friend said i didn't clear his log when i stole some stuff from him and I was like "it looks clear on my side" when it wasn't. so a tixbox to auto-edit log would be nice.

Re: Slave Daemon - Suggestions
And I just told you where the options to automatically edit the log are. If it isn't working with any of those options; being "clear log", "replace ip" that has two sub options, or "signature" then slavehack mods may have changed the way the logfile works.
Re: Slave Daemon - Suggestions
Possibly, how it works is the log is there, you can change and modify it how you like, but when you're done there is a button that you have to press that says "edit log" or "save changes" something along that line.
I use the auto edit log function, i have it change my ip to one of my enemies, but it doesn't save the log, it only edits it. I have to phisically press the save log button. and I was wondering if it could be made to automatically change it after a change to the log was made.

Re: Slave Daemon - Suggestions
It was made to automatically press that button. If it's not then the only thing I can think of is the slavehack mods have changed part of the site which will affect SD. I can't correct this as of yet because I don't have internet, I'm posting using my cell phone.
Re: Slave Daemon - Suggestions
Oh, well It wasn't for me, I never got a log change process or anything so I will assume its not working correctly.
When do you plan on having Internet again?

I'm online at an internet cafe, will be working on SD right now, seeing about the log edit among some other things. Will post information regarding an update depending on the progress I make
